Zendaya headed to the Boston, Massachusetts, set of her upcoming film on Tuesday after being forced to skip this year’s Met Gala because of her grueling work schedule.

The 25-year-old starlet was seen rocking a brand new hairdo – a wavy, blunt bob – to begin the first day of taping on Challengers.

A red carpet fashion darling, Zendaya had to miss the annual Met Gala for the second year in a row but assured fans that she would ‘keep delivering in other ways.’

Her sighting comes after the star announced she would be skipping the annual fashion fundraiser at New York City’s Metropolitan Museum of Art again this year.

‘I hate to disappoint my fans here, but I will be working. Your girl’s gotta work and make some movies … I wish everyone the best,’ she told Extra.

The Spider-Man: No Way Home star promised to deliver some impressive red carpet outfits until she returns to the bash, which she hasn’t attended since 2019. She vowed: ‘I’ll keep delivering in other ways.’

The Emmy winner last graced the steps of the Met in 2019 in an outfit inspired by Disney classic Cinderella and designed by Tommy Hilfiger.

She was preoccupied with shooting the HBO teen drama Euphoria when the gala took place in September 2021 – which had been postponed from its usual date in May due to the pandemic.

Zendaya is currently filming her role as Tashi in Luca Guadagnino’s upcoming tennis drama, Challengers.

The star is set to earn ‘over $10 million’ for the upcoming movie co-starring Josh O’Connor and West Side Story actor Mike Faist, so it’s no surprise she prioritized her career over a fashion event

Challengers will follow a tennis pro, played by Zendaya, who convinces her Grand Slam-champion husband Art, played by Faist, who is on a losing streak to play in a lower level ‘Challenger’ event.
