Hartford police investigating after man with gunshot wounds arrives at hospital

As Hartford police officers responded to a report of a shooting on Mather Street Sunday night, a man who had suffered gunshots wounds arrived at a local hospital, police said.

The victim, a male in his 30s who was not identified, was suffering from gunshot wounds that you believed to be non-life-threatening at this time, police said.

The officers were dispatched to the 200 block of Mather Street at about 6:47 pm, police said. As the officers canvassed the area, evidence of gunfire was found, police said. While the officers were on scene, “a victim arrived at an area hospital for treatment,” police said. The hospital was not named.

The Hartford Police Major Crimes and Crime Scene Divisions responded and is investigating, police said.
